Celebrate the 4th of July aboard Clipper City, the largest passenger sailboat in the U.S., with a night of sailing, barbecue, fireworks and cocktails! Revel in the excitement from the decks as we raise the sails and cruise the harbor while enjoying an American Barbecue Feast and an Open Bar with specialty cocktails and Champagne! An experience unparalleled by any other - we will be front row to the Hudson's biggest fireworks show ever.

Clipper City will depart from the South Street Seaport, just below the Brooklyn Bridge, and sail leisurely towards the Statue of Liberty. Along the way we will be immersed in the sweeping views of Ellis Island, the Manhattan Skyline, the fortifications of Governors Island and Battery Park. As the sun sets, we will drop our sails and enjoy the display of over 40,000 fireworks celebrating America's independence and the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson’s discovery of New York Harbor.

Yesterday we took Clipper City out for her first sail here in Manhattan. She took to the wind in amazing form. Boats all over the harbor pulled aside to take in the incredible view, snapping photos and waving. It was a wonderful welcome!

Clipper City arrived in New York City Monday night! Come have a look as we finish up the last second preparations for sailing this season. Our first public sail will take place this Saturday.

Clipper City, the largest passenger sailboat in the United States is coming to New York City. She will be based at South Street Seaport and will have her first launch in May 2009.
